March 2 - July/March

all embedded in the act-
slivers of water, only folding
to become sediment.
three feet from shore, three
feet from metallic reminders
all fanned out in foreign
tongues.
if you dropped me
from fahrenheit to celsius
and 2 to 4 wheels
twenty would perspire
all the way to sixty
but now, it's been snowing.
on the same slices of wood
untouched by flooding,
& unsurprisingly, we genuflect
but we never cross.

[note 3/5: the last stanza sucks so much, what should i do with it?  genuflect is a good word; unsurprisingly and untouched are too many "un"s in one stanza.]
