To
the city that never sleeps, I have recommendations.
Assuming they'll go unheeded.
The pristine envelope of water contains those lines of letters.
Spreading and squirming down an island.
Dream in fruit stands, knockoffs, coffee shops.
And whatever you believe to be art.
Slippery pink sludge will glamorously engulf you.
Let's see the lights now, let's feel the heat of neon.
The morning star of a radio tower glimmers.
Sweet virgin mary on simmering pastel clouds.
Dream in conversations of strangers, lecherous stares, and taxicabs.
Dream in insomnia, the sleepless living corpse.
And oh god it's so gigantic to wake up as a speck in Bushwick.
To smoke and drink and share my bed with these anxious drafts.
& ohgod it's a monstrous driftwood daytoday unpunctuated by any.

Silent, swimming bayside clouding tumbler adrift in a factual nothing - calamity for crustaceous soul-imparting shirted masses. Do not cry now, cry when we are far away from you and will feel no reaction to your distress. In Nomen Patrus, we pray. Save me from emotional landfill, and she did. Welcome to the slick slide into the grey area. Welcome to scio nihil; scribo nihil. Leave slender victimization behind. Have restless contentment.
Twoish
Here lay the junk-sick morning. The man tying his arm with a slim pink studded belt. He sighs with exasperation as I climb the subway stairs, eying his syringe.
(The streetlights have been lit from under the dirt, gradually. Long live the addicts. May our addictions overwhelm us. May we be humans but not persons. May what we do outlast who we are.)
The man is wearing oversized clothing & mapping his veins with chemicals. Your trips are long and violent; your sleep is short but sound. Long live rapid eye movement.
The needle is a plug for a socket. Come here: I've been washed down. I've been covered over. I'm crashing down in tiny listless waves. "I'll give you 'maven', but I'm keeping 'vow.'" This is a labyrinth, a jungle. Up and down claim right and wrong.
